DJ TIM

DJ TIM is one of Azerbaijan's most technical and recognizable DJs. Starting out in 2002, he became part of the generation that shaped the country's modern club scene. His signature style is defined by scratching and a wide musical range: Hip-Hop, Drum & Bass, UK Garage and House.

Early in his career he performed under the name Fior: he championed drum & bass, won Azerbaijan's first national DJ battle and took gold at the CIS Delphic Games in Kazakhstan. In 2017 he became Red Bull 3Style Azerbaijan National Champion, and in 2018 represented the country at the World Final in Poland. He has been a resident DJ at the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix for six seasons. He has warmed up crowds before Dua Lipa, Will Smith and J Balvin.

Over the years he has played Baku's key venues and held residencies at several of the city's leading clubs. He has run workshops and scratch sessions, and judged DJ battles at home and abroad. He has toured the USA, Poland, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Ukraine, Russia and Georgia. He co-founded the SixtyNine and Y-6 party series, and produced the official drum & bass remix of “Ay & Gün” by Aygün Kazımova, one of Azerbaijan's biggest pop stars.
